Hello Everyone,

Most of the courses have officially kicked-off. Tactility is already at full swing as deliverables are due.

In this assignment, I was required to find objects (solids and/or liquids) that please to the hand and feet. Here is a sample from my material which mainly originate from Blokker, 1EuroShop and my room...

I will keep you updated on my progress during this course.

Cheers!

Multi Sensory Design

Hello people,

Last week, we had to present our final concept design for the multi sensory design elective. It was very interesting as one could see the creative scope of the different master tracks (IPD, DFI, SPD). Some ideas were very cool, but for some ideas, I had some difficulties understanding them.

Here you can find my poster and cover page of the report. I have attempted to make them as 'determined' as possible. This is why the report is in black...

The poster was printed on a A1 sheet while the report were A4 printed. I have reduced both files so that your download would take forever and still be readable on screen.
You can find the sensory interaction details (Product - User) on the poster. If you still have more questions, feel free to ask me!

There were pictures taken of the event, I am trying to collect them at the moment. I will put them here once I managed to track them down.

Cheers!

A highway at stand-still...

Hello people,
Last monday, when returning from France, a pretty significant accident happened on my way back. Three cars were involved between Rotterdam and Delft.

The result:
Police closed the entire highway for about an hour (felt like 4 hours!). This was perfect as I could stretch my legs after all the driving (left Autouillet at around 6.30 am...), and take a little moment to 'enjoy' the moment. It is not everyday that you can sit, walk and enjoy the sun on the left lane of a highway!

Here are some of the pictures:
With all the people just standing and relaxing, it felt like being on holidays somehow. This was accentuated with the other cars (coming from the opposite direction) driving at 'normal' highway speeds.

Cars behind me

Once the context illustrated, here was a small photography session with my phone (yeyh!)

Well folks, that was it!
I guess that Rotterdam must be liking stopping people, as on my way to France...the bridge opened up. This had as effect another stand-still...but this time on the other side of the highway...just perfect!

Cheers!

What is Home for you?

Hello all,

Here is the introduction video for a research we did.

What is Home for you? from Michiel Pruijssers on Vimeo.

We researched how people customized their home. It was therefore required for us to sensitize us about 'what' home is for people.

Hope you enjoyed it!
