Creative Sessions at the Van Abben Museum (Eindhoven)

Dear Reader,

June 2nd, we went to the Van Abben Museum for further trainings on our Creative Facilitation skills. We were assigned the problem of the brand identity of the museum.

Please find below some of the pictures of our day in which Victor was our amazing facilitator!

Time to take a break now...

Lunch time was joyful...

The hand of our facilitator preparing his magic potion for his facilitation...

Lightbulbs...

The Group of Hungry Cuban Pirates (HGCP)...

Others seemed hungry too...while food kept coming...

Our facilitator explaining us his methodologies and proceedings for the session.

In order to be able to give the museum a solution about their image...we had to explore the museum. Below are some shots of the interior of the museum

Mr. Dieter...^^

Swedes...

Oh Yeah...

There were these red papers hanging around on the museum about women rights.

The idea was to find these papers and throw them through the arch of the statue...or was it?

Our facilitator coming down the stairs...

Our facilitator coming down the stairs...once more...

There was a room in which an artist made all kind of sketches with (political) messages...quite interesting media to use.

After our exploration of the museum, it was time to go back to work. Victor kick-started us with a 'guided fantasy'. This would allow to see how people perceive museums in their thoughts...

Once this done, we went outside to get some sun...and decided to move all our stuff with us...

Piled-up wooden boxes (or also seats...) were used as a flip chart!

We had to stick our papers somewhere....lets do it on the windows!

...and the thinking began...

The atmosphere was very friendly and fun while keeping it (somewhat) serious!

Our facilitator checking his proceedings...

People were involved while enjoying the sun!

Ideas kept coming...

The brainstorming session ended with a matrix onto our ideas were posted on...

Isn't this a good environment to think?

Some ideas literally flew (and ended up in the water)

After the second part of our session (divergence), we headed back inside to start the convergence phase...
Ah..Mr. Dieter...^^

The Microphone was quite interesting...

Another group working...

Another Another group working...

All our ideas were clustered into three(main) themes...

And the illustration began...

...while the boys watched...

Victor celebrating his first accomplished session!

The Tree needed some more detailing...
Now the flowers...

Our final result!

Now, we had to prepare to present our solution...

Did we do that? Or was that decision more last minute and arbitrary ? ;-)

Victor was surrounded by some ghosts...

Hope you enjoyed the pictures...

Cheers!
