A glance of the South of France

Dear Reader,
Here are some snaps (just a few...a very few) from my last week in the South of France...

Big insect on the wall...quite impressive...

Flying firefighters in the skies....

Too hot...duck for cover!

Grapes in the shade...

Butterflies on 'garrigue'...

The view...mountains in the back are about 200/300 km south...and is Spain...

This is a serious spiderweb....now I let you find the spider!

Again a nice butterfly...

Again the view...impressive! All the green are vineyards. This makes wine cheaper than water here...

Lunch!

One of my favorite spots here...just sit on the silo and relax...
The view from the silo....

Feeling lost?

Another small path..leading up the hill...

Le Rouge et le Noir...

Feeling like the gladiator movie?

Shining in the sun....

Cacti by night...

Palms by day...

Funny insect...

Ooh...the Mediterranean Waters....

Boats docked and resting...

The Marine Cemetery...just need to climb the hill!

The entrance of the Marine Cemetery... Notre Dame des Auzils

Not big fan of black humor, but this one is quite striking:
Bonrepaux is the name of the man who died here in 1894....
Bon Repos (pronounced the same as the man) means: Good Rest

Insects in flowers...

Marine Cemetery...these crosses are for every sailor lost at sea and who were born in Gruissan.

Part of texture collection...do you feel the differences?

Another cross...

Holiday feelings?

Once reaching the top of the hill....nice view of the Mediterranean...

Hope you enjoyed these pictures...If you need them High Resolution...let me know.

Cheers!
